Step One

Always keep in mind that eggs that are too fresh are difficult to peel. The best thing to do is to keep such eggs in the refrigerator for a couple of days before you boil them.

Step Two

The next thing to do is to take out the eggs from the refrigerator and let them reach room temperature before you start boiling them. This gives better results.

Step Three

Place the eggs in the pan. The pan should be large enough to accommodate all the eggs without having to place one on top of the other. Put in enough water so that it covers the eggs by at least one inch. Use the wooden spatula to carefully adjust the eggs so that they don't move around much.

Step Four

Start boiling the water. As soon as the water boils and you see bubbles popping up then turn off the gas and cover the pan with a plate. Wait for at least 15 minutes before you remove the plate.

Step Five

After 15 minutes have elapsed, remove the plate and drain the eggs. Once you have drained them, add cold water with a few ice cubes. Allow the eggs to cool down for at least 10 minutes and then drain again and store in refrigerator for later use.

Step Six

If you want to use the boiled egg instantly then you will need to peel off the shell. To peel simply crack the egg on all sides. Then roll the egg between the palms of your hands to loosen the shell. Once done, remove the shell carefully. You can enjoy the boiled egg by sprinkling a little salt if desired.
