- Cut the plastic in the areas that will bring the humidity level to the point you desire.
- The tray has about 72 cells. Fill all these 72 cells with the soil of your choice. The most common choice for this is the Jeffy 7 peat soil pellets.
- These soil pellets are packed with nutrients and help in rapid growth and development of the seeds.
- Plug the mat to the electric supply.
- Place the tray on the mat.
- After this water the seeds or the cuttings to the amount of moisture that is required by them.
- Watering the seeds is very important, as inadequate water will retard the growth of seeds.
- Cover the soil mat with the dome.
- Occasionally, you have to check the humidity level of the growing medium
- A spray bottle can be used to occasionally water the growing medium as per the demands of the humidity.
- The humidity and the moisture level should be maintained properly to facilitate the healthy growing of the plants.
Tips and Precautions
You should be very careful with the dome. The dome is very venerable to damage and can break very easily. Once there is a hole in the dome, the set up becomes useless as the entire effect of the green house is lost. If the dome is damaged by any chance, the hole should be covered with the help of a tape.
