How to Build an Ionic Air Cleaner
There are several air cleaners available in the market to cope with the dirty surroundings and they take care of the pollutions on a short-range basis. An ionic air cleaner or simply an air ionizer is a device, which electrically charges or ionizes the surroundings air by implying high voltages. They generate positive and negative ions depending upon the construction of the air cleaner, but normally most of the industrial air cleaners generate negative ions. Because negative ions are formed by adding an extra electron or more to the entire molecule and by mixing up with the surrounding positive ions, they make up the process of the ionic way of cleaning the air.
Breathing is the truth of life. Air and oxygen are indispensable for the livelihood of each living species. Our body requires harmless and pure oxygen in huge amounts all of the time. However, in the present era of extreme pollution, harmful air contents, air born viruses and bacteria, pinching smoke, smog and industrial excretions make it extremely difficult for the availability of fresh and cleaner air. Normally the body makes adjustments to adjust with these shortcomings, but sometimes and to some sensitive people; it is necessary to manually implement processes to inhale clean and fresh air. For that purpose, ionic air cleaners comes as a rescue.
The typically negative air ionizer mainly constitutes EHT power source. For a start, there must be a generator to produce the required electrical entities. We have many options available like Cockroft, Walton, Circular generator alternatives, but for its suitability, the Cockroft generator is taken. Diodes are implemented to induce polarity in the system. Capacitors of different magnitude are connected in series and resistors are implemented on the output circuits to give the resulting action through them.
With the component leads available, the diodes and the capacitors are wired synchronously along with each other to form the system. The whole ladder is set in a tiny box of desired shape and style. The input is connected to IEC inlet, and the output is connected to the EHC socket. After it is done, the setup is filled up with waxes and other greasy substances which stops and prevents internal ionization. In the main circuit, proper earthling and fuse circuits are also implemented.
At the sharp point hole, there is this negative ion breeze because of the high charge density. The sharp points from where the breeze tends to flow and also embeds some typical alloy configuration to get rid of deterioration and degradation in future. In the output socket, one ion emitter is also installed by soldering some copper wires.
A typical ionic air cleaner should be built so that it is light, compact, portable, and easy to carry and hang around. Apart from the above construction method, the ionizers also embark piezo-electric enabled transformer, which spreads negative ions. It is essential for people suffering from allergies or asthma.
