Required items

In order to build a loft bed the following articles are required:

Process

The lumber posts must be chopped properly as required by the saw, so that it could balance the weight of the person. The finished lumber boards are now attached to the posts at their top most position by the sides. Chopping off the mid-portion of the post's top does this, so that the lumber boards fits in them accordingly.

Now the screws and bolts are inserted between them in the holes made by the electric drill so that to help maximum attachments. It is advisable to use 5/8-inch screws. Remember to fix 3-inch screws at the corner junction between the boards and the posts. Ultimately, it would result in the structure of four lumber posts attached to one another with the help of lumber boards. It should have a length of 8 ft and a width of 4 ft.

It is advisable to join the legs (lumber posts) by 3.5-inch lumber boards in the middle. Join the platform of the lumber posts by 3/8 inches bolts also to give maximum rigidity. Now, with the help of the saw, incise the plywood board and fix it in between the posts (attached by lumber boards) at the topmost position so that it would be spaced equally at every corner's tightly. Use 5/8-inch screws to tighten the planks.

Now, place the mattress, cushions and pillows on the plywood board platform. The bed is now ready to use. The only thing is that if the bed is of a great height (7-8 ft), a ladder should be attached to the bed in order to mount it. So get ready to fall fast asleep!
