- The lacrosse sticks are one of the most expensive sticks that you can think of buying. If you just want to learn the game then it is recommended that you get a basic stick before going for the actual expensive one. Alternatively, you can find someone who has an old stick to spare.
- There are three main components of the stick. These include the head, mesh and shaft. The head is used to control the ball, the mesh is found inside the head while the shaft is made of metal alloy to give better grip.
- If you are right-handed, put your left hand at the bottom and the right hand at the top.
- Learn how to cradle the ball. If you have basketball skills then you will know that it is similar to dribbling. If you are not sure how to do it, ask a friend to show you the right technique.
- The most important and crucial point of lacrosse is passing the ball. Passing is the only way through which the ball can be moved across the field.
- You can practice how to pass the ball by standing in front of a brick wall and throwing the ball at it and then catching it with your stick. This will help you in learning how to pass as well as getting a firm grip on your stick.
- Eye coordination is also of utmost importance in lacrosse. The right eye coordination goes a long way when it comes to catching the ball.
